Denis Prasolov  / About

Born in 1973 in Leningrad, D. Prasolov graduated from Saint Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy in 1999. Prasolov studied in Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee (1992) and at the University of Joensuu, Finland.

His graduation project "Ahti" The God of Water," was erected in Joensuu, Finland in 1994. Prasolov has also been a member of the  international exhibitions and competitions and since 1999, a member of the Russian Union of Artists.

Pavel Ignatev and Denis Prasolov are the founders of the Art Group "Masterskaya #7". The aim of this organization is to create monumental works for the improvement of cultural and aesthetic quality of the urban environment and to preserve historical and sculptural heritage. The artists focus not only on the creation of monumental art but  the restoration and recreation of objects of cultural heritage. For the last ten years, P. Ignatev has been engaged in research work in the area of restoration and the history of monumental and decorative sculpture.
